Are you Forced dispatched?
Technically yes… HOWEVER, our drivers have been known to refer to members of our operations team as their “personal travel agent.”  So, we can’t be too bad. 😉
What kind of electronic logs do you use?
We use PeopleNet and their BLU.2 and PD4 touch screen displays.  Our new trucks (and all future unit upgrades/replacements) are equipped with PeopleNet’s Connected Tablets.
In addition to ELD capabilities, these PeopleNet units are used for two way communication, auto dispatching, routing and truck specific navigation, etc. etc.
Will I have to slip seat?

No.

What kind of home time do you guys have?

We offer weekly home time. Typically our drivers stay out 5-7 days and are home 2-3 days. Some like to stay out longer- but that is by choice!

Do you hire drivers with criminal backgrounds?
Having a criminal background doesn’t immediately disqualify you from being hired.  However, it is something that we will need to discuss with you and get approved on a case by case basis.
Are your trucks governed?

Yes. 65 on foot- 68 on cruise.

What kind of miles could I get with your company?

On average we say you get about 500 miles a day.

Do you have pet or passenger polices?
Yes to both!
Pet Policy:  The dog or cat must be under 25 lbs.  Higher than that will need case by case approval. There is also a $250 nonrefundable deposit.
Passenger Policy:  Must be at least 10 years old and our form must have a signature from a legal guardian to prove consent.  If 16 or older, they must have a government issued ID. There is also a passenger insurance policy that you are required to carry and it is good for 1 year.  The cost of that policy is $63 or $81 depending upon your coverage choices.
How long does it take to get hired on?
Typically, it takes around 2-4 days to get everything processed and approved depending upon how long it takes to get test results back, check background and work history, schedule the road test and orientation, etc.  The orientation can be completed in less than 1 day and can typically be scheduled to immediately follow your road test, as that is our last step before handing you the keys and welcoming you to the family.
Do you do CDL training?

At the moment, we do not offer CDL training.

If I don’t have 2 years OTR is there any other way I can qualify to be hired?
In some cases, if you have verifiable experience working with heavy machinery or similar sized equipment, such as:
  • construction equipment
  • military experience driving heavy machinery
  • hauling gooseneck trailers or cattle/ cars
  • verifiable experience operating farm equipment
Do you have a sign on bonus?
Not anymore.  We cut it and bumped up driver pay per mile.
Do you have regional routes?
At the moment, we do not hire anyone for specific routes.  However, most of our runs are more regional.  Currently, our average length of haul is around 500-600 miles and typically we run from AR, deliver, reload, and run back into AR.
