Our Mission Statement:
Bowerman Trucking, Inc. is dedicated to providing unfailing service to its customers, and offering each employee the chance to better their life and the life of their family. Bowerman Trucking, Inc. places such value and care in each employee that they feel a part of the Bowerman Family. In return our employees strive to deliver the service that our customers are accustomed to while ensuring their own continued happiness. In the midst of these services, Bowerman Trucking, Inc. maintains family values as the root of its own existence.
We are a family owned and operated company. Some may frown upon this, but we would not have it any other way. The trust that can only come from family, is what secures the operations of our company.
Jimmy Ray Bowerman is the founder of Bowerman Trucking, Inc. He started the company in hopes of making a better life for his family and himself. Mr. Bowerman began his endeavors in this industry as a driver. After several years of over the road service, he purchased his first truck, which is where it all began. He drove this truck for himself for a while, until he was diagnosed as a diabetic. He was forced out of the truck. So, he hired a driver for this truck, and took a job in a shop learning how to service and maintain trucks. In February of 2005 Bowerman Trucking, Inc. was granted its own operating authority. Jimmy spent many countless days and nights at the office and in the shop doing whatever it took to make sure his new baby would stand, and eventually compete in this "cut throat" industry. At this point Jimmy was at age 58, he realized that he would not be able to solely run his company forever. He decided that before age 70, he would be fully retired, but with all of the blood, sweat, and tears that he had poured into his company he could not just sell it off. He needed to ensure its survival long after his retirement. So, he brought onboard his two only grandsons, Jimmy Matthew Bowerman and Jacob Mitchell Bowerman, to train and mold into the future owners of Bowerman Trucking, Inc. Jimmy has spent the last several years instilling his work ethic into Matt and Jacob, and giving them the training they need to be able to handle the reigns of Bowerman Trucking, Inc. Since Matt and Jacob joined this journey with their grandfather, the company has experienced tremendous growth. At this point we operate about 60 trucks, 120 trailers and our own FULL SERVICE shop to maintain and repair the equipment. Jimmy had hoped to be retired by the year 2016, at which point the ownership and full operations of the company will have been seamlessly transitioned to the very capable hands of Matt and Jacob Bowerman. Jimmy's goal is to have both men prepared to the point that when he retires, no employee or customer will even realize he is gone. Matt and Jacob's goal is to maintain and grow Bowerman Trucking, Inc. into a respected member of this nation's transportation fleet, while holding fast to the family values that are the heart of Bowerman Trucking, Inc.
We are proud to say that, as of April 28th, 2015, Jimmy was able to realize his dream and has now fully retired. Jimmy, Matt, and Jacob are all three equal partners in the business and Matt and Jacob have seamlessly taken the reigns of the business into their capable hands over the last few years. We are all very excited and happy for Jimmy and look forward to an even brighter future for the company beyond this transition.
